Second Birthday

All of these pics are from Landon's second birthday bash, which just happened to coincide with the big Boyd reunion. Landon got to meet the great grandparents and visit with Aunt Amy.

First Field Trip

This is all the Boyd boys having fun at the Adventure Science Center. We started the school year with a field trip there in September. There are so many great exhibits there year round, both revolving and permanent. Also, the Sudekum planetarium is all new. It's one of only three of its kind in the world. The other two are in Japan.

EMS Night Out

Here are some pics from this summer when we went to the EMS night out at Columbia State. There were lots of helicopters and ambulances to check out.

Priceless

Need I say more?

Potty Time

Here we are working on potty training. We are doing well.

All Thomas'd Out

Anyone who knows Landon knows how much he loves Thomas (and James, and Percy and...). I picked up some nice PJs and a backpack for the little guy. I just couldn't resist. Look at how excited he is!

Have you seen my Kids lately?

My children are so beautiful. I do not deserve to be the mother of such wonderful human beings!

How the house looks now...

Here are some pics of the house since we've painted. Master bedroom

Nashville Zoo Harvest Days

We went to the Nashville Zoo for their Harvest Days celebration. On this day they open up the old farmstead and lots of kids dress up in period costumes and talk about crafts, clothing, and games that were played in the 1800's. We also did the regular zoo tour and rode the carousel this time. Landon loved that so much. Besides some very pesky bees that wouldn't let us eat in peace and dropped veggie burger, a good time was had by all.
In front of an old wagon on the farm

This barn is just so pretty. We saw some horses, cows, and goats in this area.

Here they are in front of a cabin on the old farmstead.

Checking out the zebra.

The boys in the meerkat cave.

Mom's fave-the giraffes.

What gorgeous creatures. We are so blessed to have such a great zoo so close to home. And what a magnificent Creator we have! The endless variety we see in creation is a stunning reminder of jsut how inventive He is.

Silly Goose

Here's my little pumpin in the wee hours of the morning getting ready for breakfast with mommy. He loves to sit on the counter.

Ring Farm Fall Fun

We took another fun trip, this time to the Ring Farm which is right down the road from us. We took our neighbor Kaylee with us. Here they are getting ready to go through the corn maze. After the maze we spent some quality time on the big slide (thank goodness for the burlap sacks) and then we went on a hayride through the property, including the haunted woods. We finished off the evening with a little candy and some corn cannon shooting. Happy Fall, Ya'll!
Landon cheesin' with some found corn in the corn maze. This year the maze was in the shape of Davidson County with 32 points of interest in throughout the maze We learned a lot about the history of different areas of Davidson Co.

Here's Jackson going down the 40 ft. slide-backwards, of course.

Field Trip to Hatcher Dairy

Here are the boys at the Hatcher Family Dairy. We took a field trip there and were able to meet many of the cows that make the yummy milk we drink. We walked all around the farm and met many cows (all of them have names) . We got to see many different types of cows in various stages of growth. We also checked out the place where they get milked. Just in case you're wondering, the Hatcher cows like to listen to rock'n'roll while they are being milked.

Here we are at the Hermitage, home of Andrew and Rachel Jackson. They have a Halloween weekend with lots of neat stuff to do. We toured the mansion, listened to some bluegrass, painted some pumpkins, and took a hayride around the property. So much fun!

Landon and Mommy

Here's Landon with a witch!

Here's a good picture of Jack, anyway.

Notice all the crying going on. He was so sleepy.
